DJ Solss — "More Than Music"
DJ Solss, born Solomon Siphuma, is a South African electronic music producer, club DJ, sound engineer, mechanical engineer, and creative entrepreneur. His musical identity is rooted in a lifelong passion for rhythm, community upliftment, and soulful African soundscapes.
His relationship with music began early through church choirs as a backing vocalist. In the early 2000s, he was already entertaining neighborhood gatherings with twin tape decks and cassette recordings. While pursuing and qualifying in his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer, Solss continually nurtured his production craft.
Deeply committed to creating opportunities for the next generation, DJ Solss passed professional gear to his younger brother DJ Lushaka (who went on to build a respected DJ career in Limpopo) and donated equipment to his father's church. This spirit culminated in founding SM Studio and spearheading the landmark Equip One. Empower Many. youth sponsorship initiative.
